C320 - 29.5mpg
Hi guys.
I've been driving my c320 wagon since march last year and just today discovered that cruise control bumps up my mpg to 29.5 in town! If i only knew it earlier
. Got a question tho, is it possible to activate the cruise cntrl or accelerate from the wheel? It's kinda awkward to use the cruise stick all the time in town lol.
Thanks

I noticed you had 32 miles on the trip odo. How many miles does it take on the trip odo to reach that 29.5mpg figure?
My roundtrip commute is about 40 miles and i'm lucky to break 23mpg on a good day of city/highway commuting. I keep my tires inflated to 40psi and attempt to get yearly 4 wheel alignments. I'm trying to figure out if there's a part of the engine i've neglected to keep in tune after 90,000miles and 10yrs.

My merc has 112k miles so I think it's your driving style as I was averaging about 22mpg before too.

dang... I dont think i could deal w/ using the cruise control stick to drive around city, BUT if it adds that kinda economy, I might have to give it a try.
My lead foot has been giving me ~20 around the city.
