Has anyone used Seafoam?
I picked up a rebuilt Valeo Alternator with my friends/mechanics discount for $175...he only wanted $40, but I had him keep the $75 core charge.
No more A/C and radio cutting on and off![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I still have a very slight RPM drop when at a light. Someone on here had a great pic-by-pic on how to clean the throttle body. My boy suggested running seafoam through the gas tank.
Has anyone solved this RPM issue with a seafoam treatment?
Thank you in advance - JB

Seafoam will do nothing for your car. Save your money and go to a movie instead. Some cars have a problem with soot (carbon) build up and that can be helped with a bottle or two of Techron from Chevron. It is the only chemical additive Mercedes has approved for use in their cars.
For a RPM drop at idle, check the plugs and replace if other than toasty brown. Use OE plugs, avoiding the multi-contact, super-duper, chap-du-mitzvahs wonder plugs out there. Mercedes would use them if there was any benefit.
