strange problem on C200CDI - PLZ help

hello!
as the title says, i drive a 2006 c200 cdi.
today i have witnessed a strange problem which i've never seen before.
i came to the car and i saw the the gages backround light is on and the purple light on the gages which indicates the high beam lights is on also - the key is not in the ignition. when i put the key in the ignition, and turn the switch on, these errors appear:
SRS faulty
Brake fluid level is low
desplay faulty

all the other lights on the gages then turn on and it seems normal, but the car don't start. i take out the key, but the gages backround light is still on and the purple high beam indicator is on too.

i removed the (-) from the battery for a minute, and it reseted the all thing. only then it all came back to normal and the car started as usual.

WTF was that? did anyone see that kind of problem before? i just want to know if this is common problem or just one time flop.

thank you all!

I can tell you that ... this is not a common problem.
I would get the car on STAR asap and see if it's not your ECU needing a fix or a reprogram.

BTW ... I can see from other posts of yours that you're from IL ... and we probably have the same deal with the car (we both have C200 CDI and plate number ends with 71 ... hint hint)

Where are you located at IL?
I can recommend a great place for your Benz to get it's maintenance and STAR. Well as long as you're located at at the center region of IL.

guess what, it happened again, but this time the car didn't start over and was towed to the garage. i suspect that the problem is the control panel or the SAM. did anyonehad similar problem? thanks.

guess what - after standing for 2 days, just before it rolled in the garage, the stupid car started normally!!
the back SAM was sent for examination and turn out OK. i strongly suspect the front SAM. i'll keep updating.

help and hints are still welcome

I'm not sure that's the front SAM ...
Seems to me like an ECU / EIS issue.
Not sure, but SAM is not responsible for the Instrument Cluster gauges and lights.

Again, if you need help, PM me. I have a great mechanic near Cochav Yair ...

tnx.

the key turns to switch on, and all the lights work properly - it is definitely not the EIS. the ECU is fine - was checked for errors. i was in contact with many mechanics today, from different garages, and most of them said it is most likely to be the from SAM. none of them had ever seen a problem with the control panel on the w203 post facelift.
