major performance problem
lets just say the cam recall totally screwed my car up....they replaced front ecu , engine harnass,o2 sensors so the oil was everywhere
ever since then the performance is a 0..
when i drive at night i have the performance but when its like 80 to 90 degrees out i lose all the performance...
i have 1 code for changing termpostat
ever since then the performance is a 0..

This guy here had the opposite responce:
Just got the car back with the recall done... am I insane or it feels like the car got a boost in power?
I was activating the traction control for a LONG time on a 1-2 shift... typically I don't ever do that or if I do it's very short (with a eurocharged tune). Engine note sounded slightly different as well (but maybe that's just me being insane).
Does this fix get you more power?

It takes time for your ECU to learn

If the S/C wasn't working then the car would be throwing codes. I'm not sure what is up, but feeling of the exhaust pipe is not proper diagnosis for anything.
If it is having serious drivability issues you better stop driving it before the engine is ruined on the chance you have the head problem or a timing chain that's about to jump a tooth.

Broken thermostat = cooling system doesn't start at the right temp Or doesn't start at all = the loss of performance.
Like I've said you already answered your own question.

My broken thermostat and P0128 at 100k miles didn't affect performance in any noticeable way, so I'm not sure. Definitely not night and day like he's describing. mleskovar might be on to something.

Just drove my car at the local streetracing spot and mine is faster than it was before the service. I can hit 80mph at the second bridge(the finish line) now were before it would be just past 75mph.
