repeating door lock/unlock

Long story short, V belt shredded about a month ago, lost power to battery etc. Got that fixed at Benz in Taunton, superb service. but
about a week later, so may no be related, when I unlock the door or lock it, the drivers door locks/unlocks about 3 or 4 times in quick succession. All the other doors lock/unlock fine.
Also, I have the warning to visit service due to battery/alternator problem, but I know its charging fine, so may need resetting somehow.

whenever i hit a pothole hard enough my doors unlock then relock... after that I have a bent rim :o( So basically my doors unlocking and locking tells me that i bent a rim
