TBH I like the diffuser black but thats about it.. I think all the plasti dip cheapens the look esp in that classy color..

That's the beauty of plasti dip, I can peel it all off
I like the look though, I probly won't change it until I get new rims

11/20/11 UPDATED

This is an update and a DIY for plasti dippin'!!!!!!

Decided today was the day, forget fixing the bent rim im gunna black em all out and deal with it later- my mentality this morning

~~~~~~~~DIY PLASTI DIP YOUR RIMS~~~~~~~~~~~
My friend Esteban and I decided to plasti dip our rims, hes got the 3speed
We used his jacks and car stands and did 2 rims at a time each
This is how you do it!
First off, get a jack and some car stands, remove tires.
Next up wash them really good for better adhesion of plasti spray
I tried taping around the rim but It wouldnt stick to my tire, just freehanded it, the plasti dip rubs off tires so easily!!! No need to tape!!!
I also popped out the center caps, I wanted to keep the Mercedes star chrome but black the rest out.
I covered the caps with spray, 2-3 coats and precisely cut the star out
and my buddy cut out the mazda M, the top two are cut and ready.
After I finished the first 2, bolted on car and ready to ride!! So clean!
At this point we realized that It was going to take much longer than we expected.
Goin thru plasti dip like nothin' VV
Finished UP!
Looking Fierce at night hehe
More to come...
How did you plasti dip the center of your AMG bumper? I've always wanted to have that center part below the mesh painted black but idk how it would look so plasti dipping it might give me an idea.....
I've only plasti dipped my rear emblem so if you can send me a DIY for the front bumper PM me please!!
I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say its pretty much like doing the wheels but all he did was mask off the part that he wanted to plastidip on the front bumper.
I know that, specifically I was just trying to figure out how he peeled off the tape without the plasti dip coming off with it.
Perhaps slightly scoring the plastidip and slowly peeling it off will do the trick. Did this with my buddies Z06. Fairly easy to do.
Hey I am all for plasti dip its an awesome thing. But just because you have an unlimited supply of a source doesnt mean you go plasti dipping everything.. I plastidipped my wheels prior to my new set that I have now.
Sure it doesn't mean I have to, but who says I don't want to?
Unlimited source? 6 bucks a can
The trick is to peel the tape quickly while the Plasti is still wet
Ah!! That's what I was looking for. So you peel off the tape right after your last coat?
yep just make sure it is still wet, have a blade ready to cut away any sticking plastic if there happens to be some.
if it comes out ugly or jagged just retape a straight line again and spray then quick peel and there you go!
I know a guy who tried to plastidip his roof, for what it is it looks decent but nothing like a real paint job. It doesnt evenly coat the whole surface of a body panel, looks very textured.
LOL, sarcasm is a lost art.
Everything looks good so far, but any more would be overkill, imho.
Won't the plastidip on the rims start pitting pretty quickly?
