My 230k SS Project! :)

Whats up MBWORLD!
Ive been here for a lil while, learning a lot! Now im putting the info to action and im starting to work on my benz.........

My benz- My father gave me his c230 2 years ago when he bought a ml500.
When he gave it to me there was extensive body damage, missing parts, he crashed it once. So for about 2 years I was driving around a beat up benz, it was sad but i couldent afford 4k in repairs just for aesthetics.

About 2 months ago I got all the body work done and it came out factory fresh

First thing I did was take off front license plate and put down a flat badge (some fuc*** broke my standing emblem off)

Next up I got my tint done, 20% johnson film all the way around

Next up I debadged, and added a CF spoiler for the trunk and roof, Thanks GARY!!!!! <----------

black font done also painted my license plate!

Got my whip detailed!! and I smoked those ugly orange sidemarkers

So Thats about it so far!
Much more to come, Im still researching the right performance options for me, Im looking for some new rims, i like the amg 6 spoke wheels with the silver lip, So nice! I also want to black out my chrome grille, smoke my tail lights.

My friend and I are working on removing the silencer on the supercharger ill keep you guys updated on that.

but alll input is greatly appreciated

Sorry bout the big pics but they look nicer Ill keep posting have a great day everyone!

Nice mods, you should try Plasti-diping the middle part of your AMG bumper it will turn out pretty nice.

The mesh or bumper itself? I already Plasti dipped the bottom half of the front bumper it's just hard to see from those angles

What kind of plasti dip did you use? I'm thinking about doing the same thing to my grill, could you post a bit of a DIY on it?

That would be fun, I'll post a DIY in the next few days or whenever I decide to re-do my grill because I did a sloppy job in the dark.

Basically I just got the black plasti dip spray can, cleaned and removed the grill, laid down about 3 uneven coats(just the front of the grill) in like 20 minutes and it turned out pretty damn good! Haha

11/13/11 UPDATEEEE
so i like coming here just to give myself some personal reference as to what ive done so far, too bad not so much comments i want some advice hah

anyways.. felt like getting creative today

This morning.. I changed out my turn signal bulbs from orange to a bright white, and they are chrome dome so no more orange reflection in the headlamps
also I took myW203's advice and blacked out part of the AMG bumper, thanks for the idea dude!

Also today I dropped in a K&N filter and got some NGK Laser iridium spark plugs

Later that night I was really in a plasti dipping mood... Decided to do my side mirrors and my hood vent, My friend este who also loves working on cars helped out alot!

This is the mirror color before (pewter)

He is a boss at taping

2

He's precise on that rain sensor !

I sprayed he cut and taped, this was the finished product on side mirrors after 4-5 coats of plasti dip

and the hood vent (kind of a glare, it is flat black)

Came out CLEAN!

Im tellin you guys.. plasti dip is the *****!

Almost forgot! My 8.500K bulbs came in the mail tonight, just put em in, you can see the city lights match the original headlight color (kind of yellow white)

These new bulbs have a nice bright white-blue tint and have way better light output, i kept the fog lights off to show it more

Nice, loving the new pics!

My tints are vinyl but I think spray would be better, the curves on the s-class tails are hard to wrap around the curve and eventually I had to rip a little piece of the film because it was popping out.

11/13/11 5PM

Didnt have the right socket heads for removing the spark plugs, decided to head over to autozone.

My buddy ernie is the manager there and came out to help me put them in with his tools.

The plugs were in there WAY too tight from factory, it might be the fact it was over 100k miles but damn you had to crank them.. I put the new ones in with anti seize for this purpose. I also did notice a bit of oil on my old plugs..

I payed around 60$ for the plugs and now free labor, stealership wanted 300 lol yea right!

Note: I drove 105,000 miles on these bosch spark plugs

these new NGKs look beautiful, compare to old bosch plug, that was best looking bosch too the rest were even more corroded

My idle is much smoother, and acceleration seems a bit smoother, crisper. Im monitoring the gas milage, lets see if there is any improvement

So today on my way home from work I start to hear a thumping noise on one of my rear tires. I pull over and see nothing wrong and all tires inflated. I keep rolling and the noise persists. I passed by a mechanic shop and yelled for one of the guys, I introduced myself and he agreed to taking a short ride to hear the sound. We discovered a nail in the middle of my tire!

I drove over to Allen tires and had them repair the tire

Also, I have been feeling a slightly bumpy ride when I hit 75+ mph.

I suspected a bent rim and they checked, turned out there is one slightly bent rim.... there goes another 100$

Bent Rim

Had a lil project later, Plasti Dipped the lower half of both my side skirts

when I got my tire fixed they spun that rim on this balance machine and it has a dent, its a bad angle in the pic but Im sure its bent.. only slightly thats why I can only feel the vibration when Im driving 75 mph + I need to find someone to fix it
