Harrison do you know of a good tint and muffler shops in the la/orange county area? I am going to be down there in 2 or 3 weeks and was looking to get a tint and new exhaust set up while I'm down there. It seems like there's so many great shops down there and non here in the bay, everywhere I go for tints I'm getting crazy quotes.

Hey harrison
Nice car man! Bought a silver 05 c230k in december. I live in HB as well. I've done some minor mods to my car, but glad I saw your wheels. I think i'm definitely going to try the plasti dipped wheels!

I've been dieing to take my car to a track lol. They really let you drive our cars out at adams? I just about grew up there racing go-karts! Would be fun to drive my car on that track.

This is an update and a DIY for plasti dippin'!!!!!!

Decided today was the day, forget fixing the bent rim im gunna black em all out and deal with it later- my mentality this morning

~~~~~~~~DIY PLASTI DIP YOUR RIMS~~~~~~~~~~~
My friend Esteban and I decided to plasti dip our rims, hes got the 3speed
We used his jacks and car stands and did 2 rims at a time each
This is how you do it!
First off, get a jack and some car stands, remove tires.
Next up wash them really good for better adhesion of plasti spray
I tried taping around the rim but It wouldnt stick to my tire, just freehanded it, the plasti dip rubs off tires so easily!!! No need to tape!!!
I also popped out the center caps, I wanted to keep the Mercedes star chrome but black the rest out.
I covered the caps with spray, 2-3 coats and precisely cut the star out
and my buddy cut out the mazda M, the top two are cut and ready.
After I finished the first 2, bolted on car and ready to ride!! So clean!
At this point we realized that It was going to take much longer than we expected.
Goin thru plasti dip like nothin' VV
Finished UP!
Looking Fierce at night hehe
More to come...
Plasti dipped wheels are a great value and you can change your mind, you wont be disappointed, just be sure to do a good job and use a full can per wheel so they last
We should meet up id love to check out your car we can exchange ideas and such, maybe do a run up to adams track, our cars do surprisingly well!! Its a BLAST
Yea we should meet up some time. My schedule will lighten up at the end of may, so maybe around then if your free. Yea adams is a must! Can't wait to see what this car can do! What configuration did you run? Were you are able to run the whole track or did you have to cut out the smaller banked turn on the front side (aka little monza)?
I need new tires, so i'll wait till I get them before I plastidip. Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure I get 4 cans for the wheels.
Whole track open! Not a huge track to begin with but still really fun, I ran a 54. something, still have that time sheet. The car does well, compared to others in a higher bracket or engines. Ill post a video soon, waiting on my friend to convert the file he filmed me driving
Good luck with the plasti wheels!
UPDATEEEEEEEEEEEED
Not much has changed, Bought 2 new tires for the front wheels. The guy I bought the wheels off, Hes in the e55 section here just havent had a chance to find him, Well he told me the tires had 50% tread and had no problems...
I took another trip to palm springs and farther into indio and wanted my wheel shop to take a look to make sure everything was good to go
Turned out the interior wall of the front tires were tearing badly! A drive on the 100f+ road would have caused 2 blowouts, the tires were almost leaking air and would "unzip"
Glad I decided to stop by before my trip. Got some higher end Toyos for the front two, Need to get some more the the rear when I have the money.
Well back to the trip, Drive was great, hit almost 35mpg on the ride up
Heres a pic of one of my favorite hiking spots in the desert
The benz handles all terrain!
Ever wonder what I look like?
Sorry, didn't see your response...best I've gotten is 23 Hwy on cruise control, but I didn't get it for the mileage lol!
Harrison, the random '55 you parked next to is almost the same as mine , if I walked out to see your ride next to mine it would put a smile on my face, beautiful ride and well done!
