Replacing ballast on C320 - difficult?
Is it difficult to replace a bi-xenon headlight ballast on a 2003 C-class? Where is it? My right headlight (low Beam) intermittently doesn't work. I changed the bulb - same thing. 50% of the time the light works... thanks.

just have to pop off the front bumper and pull out the headlamps really, check the write ups in the notes...just be aware that you may not be able to source a ballast easily as frosty bix where not easy to find

The new "external" ignitor is easy to install. These are not really ballasts. Here is the complete procedure.

What does blew without coming on mean? As for ballast I get them off ebay they use the same ones on many cars so they are easy to find. I am currently running one off a range rover I think. I will say that we have way more failures of the igniters then we do the ballast. luckily this is an easy test just switch the Ballasts and see if the problem moves from one side to the other.
