I have a 2001 C320 and just replaced the rear SAM. Before replacing the unit my alarm didn't make a chirp when I armed/disarmed it. Now, with the new unit it chirps every time. I've read about the Netherlands settings but that seems to be for people who want the chirp. How do I get it so it is silent and doesn't chirp?

Most likely, you'll have to get either a dealership or someone else with Star to change the setting to a chirpless one.

I think you need developer mode active on Star to do that.

What doesn't make sense is why you felt that was a relevant question. The OP doesn't say when he purchased his car or anything of that nature. The C32 wasn't around in 2001, was a limited production, and not everyone who has a C320 wanted a C32.

It is a 2001 that I bought in 2003. I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money and this one was available. I bought it off of Ebay and got a great deal.
