HVAC: vent mode (no AC)
what's the proper technique to just have the HVAC blow air? I set the fan speed then press EC mode and it still blows cold air.
I just cant seem to shut off the compressor in the summer...

it will continue to blow cold air for about 5 minutes or so, after shutting off the compressor bc of the air still in the system. i've timed it. it ranges 5-7 minutes at a fan setting of 3.

Yep, it can take up to 10 minutes before the cold air subsides ambient air is delivered. I've learned to "solve" this by activating "EC" mode before starting the car. I turn the key to position 2 (the "auto" A/C button is lit), then I press auto to disable auto fan and press "EC" (or "AC OFF"). Then you have to turn the key back to position 0 and then start the car. I have found that the switch position is "read" in position 2 regardless of whether you turn the AC off with the ignition energized. If you then leave "EC" active (or AC OFF) when you shut down, you won't have to go through these steps when you restart.
