Hello all, I'm usually a watcher, and not a "poster". The picture is of a 2005 C230 Kompressor motor. The part that's in the box (sorry, hard to see) is missing on my car. What is it and where do I get one? If you can't see the box, it's on the left side of the main engine cover, there are two red "breathers", I'm missing the one on the left.

I have no idea what those are. You're on the wrong forum and will get a better response from those on the W203 forum.

i think thats a cap for the oil output...

u can go to the dealership probally costs a few dollars

The cover inside the box is for the transmission fill tube. The cover is used to "seal" the transmission. It has a tab that must be broken when it is removed. You should keep it covered. A new cover is inexpensive.

The other red cover outside the box in the picture is the oil extraction tube. Use this to vacuum the oil from the crankcase when changing oil.

Wonder why the washer tank cap on this C230 is yellow? Mine is blue.

The 04 I used to have is yellow too. The 06 is blue though.
So take your pick. Are we comparing engine bay components now?

My old one was yellow but I switched it to a blue one off a loaner w203 I had.
