Is it even possible ?

I am under heating
I have a CEL and I believe it will be the thermostat, about two weeks ago I changed the thermostat sensor again due to a CEL.
Should I have changed them both at the same time ?
anyway this picture was taken about 25 miles after start

I don't know. If you are talking about the thermo at the far left guage, that may look right. I have that when it's really cold outside, like 52 degress. The normal setting would be a little past 80. I am think either 81 or 82, it doesn't go any higher than that.

Mine on a normal basis and way after the first start of the day it has reached at least 80 something, yes slightly higher than 80.
This is 25 miles after freeway speeds and the car felt a little heavier on response, also this only happens when the CEL is on, also i forgot to mention that is fluctuates slightly.

If your thermostat has dried during repairs, it is a good idea to change it. I find that they tend to rust almost instantly and are either stuck or do not move properly with the heat.

The water flow is controlled by the thermostat, but it is the temperature sensor that runs the fan. If you have the wrong sensor, it might be running the fan too much.

Prior to replacing anything, you need to read the codes recorded for the CEL and make an informed decision about the path to repair.

I had Karo check it with his STAR and the codes referred to thermostat sensor and thermostat, no other codes were projected. So I believe the next step is changing the thermostat.

The thermostat opens at 87 deg old, 89 deg new for US. Your operating temp should be in that region.

That is most definitely a stuck open thermostat. Change that ASAP. The temp gauge should be fully above the 80 mark. According to a recent post by John (splinter) in Phil's thread, a stuck thermostat in this situation can cause excess engine wear.
