Transmission fluid question
I replaced my transmission plug after it had a leak, put back the amount of fluid that I lost when I dropped the pan and did a reading with the dipstick and I need to add more. Ive used OEM fluid so far but my question is, can I top it off with the Valvoline Maxlife ATF, which according to Valvoline is compatible with my 772.6 automatic transmission. Is it safe to mix it with the current OEM fluid thats in there now? I think Im only about half a quart short

See here - same applies to the 722.6 transmission just easier to top up with a dipstick tube.
All approved 236.14 fluids are fungible. It's part of the testing regime for approval. Do not use non approved fluids.
