Sun damaged antenna??
My radio reception has mysteriously lost after one fine day when I parked my car under a hot sun for the whole afternoon.
After a search on the forum, I realised most of the solution the dealers adopted to solve this problem is to replace the whole entire piece of rear windscreen.
But aren't cars suppose to be designed for outdoor under the sun or in the rain at all??
I simply can't accept the fact that the sun has actually damaged my antenna!!

Sounds like the receiver/amplifier unit broke. In order to fix it, they need to replace the entire back window too (somehow the unit was NOT designed to be serviced without taking out the window).
Maybe the heat cause the unit to fail prematurely.
I have a similar problem right now, not with the radio reception but with the key fob - the signal is not getting to the car.
The service advisor already hinted about the "back window" needing to be replaced. Ouch.
I'm definitely buying the extended warranty.

My radio poor reception problem has been solved by the dealer today!
Guess what? Its my Audio 10 that has been roasted by the heat of sun; not the antenna. Everything went back to norm after the dealer replaced me with a brand new set of Audio 10.
