highest mpg?

My '05 C230K gets very good mileage - never seen it quite this good, but I think I got over 31 going up into the mountains so I certainly don't think your mileage is impossible.
Congratulations!!
My personal best was 6.9L per 100KM or 34MPG for you Yanks
Over the last 20,000 KM of mixed driving City and Highway i'm at 9L per 100KM or 26.1 MPG
I drive an 06 M272 2.5L V6 6 Speed
Would be nice for others to post MPG to get some idea if i'm getting decent mileage.
when your car isnt at normal temperature ur gunna get ****ty gas mileage so i reset it so it shows the correct mpg when im driving

Got 40.2 mpg = 5.75 liters / 100 km. That was a surprise..
If MB did the smaller ( 2.2 liter ) diesel in C Class, am sure it would get 44 - 45 + mpg..... almost as good a 50 - 52 mpg Toyota Prius on highway, with a lot more fun when the right foot is pushed down.

how does the tires pumped up destroy the dashboard? thats f-ed up
Above 30.5 psi, the shock load from pressurized tires, via wider foot print . or patch area on the road, allows more energy ( harshness and shock load ) to be developed from bumps in the road sending higher energy> a harsh JOLT into the car. Stuff inside the dashboard does not like this, so I lowered the pressure from 32 - 33 psi down to 30.5. That's better. I figure I found the ideal pressure. The Volvo can go to 36 psi before same thing happens ... smaller tire patch area on the ground.
If you ever ridden in a newer Corvette, or MB with really wide section tires, with shallow side walls, you'll understand this .... that's why Corvettes that are 5+ years old have had a hard life. I had an '04 Corvette ( bought new ) for 4 years. Lots of stuff was loose in the car from really wide section ( and shallow side wall ) tires on rear.
'03 c230 here, 255 r/225 f, auto, avg 22 in strictly small town driving and lately only ~28 on the road trips (but making very good time). Best for me on hwy was 33+ mpg with 225's all around. The 6's seem to get as good of gas mileage on the road as my little I4, but I drive it 90% in town so the extra mpg is nice... If I'm really on it around town I might dip slightly below 20mpg. Oh, and I have the powerchip tune.
With a tail wind yesterday the dash was reading 4.6l/100km ( 51.13 MPG US) (61.4 MPG Imp) after 2 hour drive. For the full return journey it read 5.2 l/100km ( 45.23 MPG US) ( 54.32 Imperial) for the full trip.

You gotta get some distance before you can really count it. In 15 miles or so I can make my car read 39-40mpg average.

Part of this trip was at at 5l/100km ... highways, hills and tight turns.

This translates to about 43mpg ...

Sounds like my 3.8 litre Holden Berlina in Aus. It averaged 19.1 litres/100Km over the car's life. = 12 miles/USg.I was not paying for tyres & fuel in those days of course.

The highest I got on my 06 is 23mpg.
