Unhappy Brake job - Pick my parts please?

I've been reading thread after thread about brakes and brake jobs... There are so many options that I am just going nuts trying to find the right parts in the right place. I need to replace the front and back brakes (and rotors) for my '02 C230 coupe. I probably would like something nice and quiet doesn't have to be superexpensive brembos but an upgrade from OEMs will be nice. I don't want to spend a ton of money, just something that will not break apart and last a little bit. And if OEMs are the way to go then I would like to know where can I find the cheapest one... believe me, I really wish there are 2 choices but no, there are way too many and I am going crazy

...please helpy....

I personally like the akebono ceramic pads. Tirerack sells them at a good price. As for rotors you can go OEM and get from rmeuropean or look at aftermarket ones at places like tirerack, partsgeek and other places sell.

Also the akebono stop just as good as OEM but way less brake dust and are really quiet

+1 on akebono! Check rmeuropean dot com, placeforbrakes dot com, or partsgeek dot com.

As everyone else mentioned, Akebono ceramic prake pads. For rotors, I like to stick with Zimmerman, ATE or Balo (zinc coated). I like dealing with rmeuropean.com, they have every mentioned and free shipping. Good Luck!

Does it matter anymore if the discs are slotted or drilled? I don't really race so I think I answered my question... but just for giggles... what is your opinion?
