Torque setting for spark plugs?

I will be putting new plugs in my 2006 C230 this weekend. Is there a specific torque setting for those plugs.

Also, do those plugs need to be gapped? Or are they preset?

I just got the Bosch OEM plugs from AutohousAZ.

I am pretty sure the spec is to tighten them down to 100ft-lbs. I did mine this past summer and that's what I have them set to. I also recommend putting just a dab of anti seize on them to make removal of them (if ever needed) much easier. Be sure not to add so much that is ends up oozing out and coming into contact with the igniter itself as Im sure no good can come of that.

wait sorry lol, brain fart.

I don't know where I pulled 100 ft lbs, the correct answer is 17lbs. Was definitely thinking of lug bolts.

No worries...yup, M272 = 23 Nm/17 ft.-lbs. on the plugs. 9 Nm for the coil pack bolts.

Go easy.

Easy is key here. Essentially till it feels snug, then pull out

Glyn,

I got the bosch oem plugs. Do they need to be gapped? If so, do you know what the gap should be?
