Aftermarket ideas (especially headlamps) for 2003 C230 Kompressor?

Hi all,

I have a 2003 C230 Kompressor
http://images.lemonfree.com/WDBRN40J73A505152_1.jpg

And I would like to change it up a little, make it really hot! I don't have the Xenon headlamps so I thought that would be a really easy update to it.

Any thoughts on headlamps or other aftermarket pieces that really make this car shine?

Pictures?

Looking forward to some GREAT ideas!

I hope you're not holding your breath while waiting for great ideas, 'cause there ain't many.

Your best bet is to keep checking the classifieds for clear headlights - they come up every so often, and then go with HIDs if you must from there. HIDs in the frosties just scatter everywhere.

I was lucky enough to get the clears from a member here, and have to admit that they really do make the car look a hell of a lot better.

What do you mean by:
  • clear headlights
  • frosties

Also, do you happen to the know the maximum size rim and tire that I can use on the 2003 C230 Kompressor Coupe?

Thanks!

What you have are frosties, ie, the headlights are not perfectly clear.

Clear headlights were available from the dealerships - they are still halogens, but the glass is completely clear, which looks less 1970s than the frosties.

Rim and tire sizes are probably best described in the "aftermarket rims" thread on here. There are many options; largest I think I've seen here is a 19x9 front and 19x10 sizing that someone did. Everything has a tradeoff, though.

Any one have any luck or suggestions with going with something like this?
http://www.carid.com/2003-mercedes-c...ts-315282.html

Then they have an HID upgrade kit for $99.

Thoughts? Or should I just go with a full Xenon upgrade to start?

Thanks!
