c240 acceleration

c240 acceleration

i have to admit that it was really bad in the first couple of k miles. i would pull to a 0-60 in 9 or even 10 sec on a full tank. now, a nice 8. i'm now at 9000 miles.

also, i'm noticing better acceleration when you use the speedshift thing. i know you can control the down shifting by just pressing the gas all the way down till you hit a click with the pedal, but using the "-" gives a better control on how fast and for how long you really want to accelerate. does anyone else know what i'm talking about?

also, i have stock wheels. those 17' just slow things down with a c240.

just my 2 cents as i'm chilling with my benz this summer.

oh yeah, is a 1/4 mile in 16.4s bad or good?

Same here with our 230. It seems to almost instantly downshift with that. Works pretty well.

moomeh, we dont have speedshift.. we got touchshift.

yeah, you're right.. my C240 got quicker as the km's went up.. i'm at like 38,000kms on my 2001 right now.
