i am thinking about getting a system installed on my car. i have the bose system.

all i want is to get a sub and an amp to power it.

the way i want it is to not have a big box in the trunk. is there anyway to replace the BOSE sub with a different one? i think the BOSE one is 9'', and i don't think anyone makes 9'' subs. do 8'' or 10'' fit in there? also i thought about putting a sub in the area where the spare tire goes.

has anyone have experience with putting in subs without the box? if anyone does, please, if you have any, post some pictures. Also, please tell me exactly what equipment you got and how you installed it..

I have the Bose system and I added 2 subs and an amp and it sounds fairly decent so you are on a good "budget" idea. But I got the clunky box in the car. Silva32 has really nice, clean setup in his C32 that you might want to do. He's posted pics somewhere of it, and he got a very good price on it.

 

depending on what your budget is... mine is sort of the econ setup. with alot of trunk spaces left.
