MP45 or M45 on supercharged C class
MP45 or M45 on supercharged C class
does any 1 know which generation of eaton supercharger is on the C class? http://www.capa.com.au/eaton.htm
if its the 3rd generation what kinda benefit is there changing to a 4th generation 1? or maybe even the M62 / MP62 series? and is it worth the $$$ for this kinda upgrade ? as the pipings and every thing is already there i guess nathing major has to be done right ?

if you are talking about the supercharger the C32 uses, it's a twin-rotor Lysholm screw-type and it's made by supercharger manufacturer IHI. IHI is a japanese company i believe.
the rest of the supercharge non-AMG car has roots type supercharger.

the 2.3 had a eaton M45 and the 1.8 has a slightly modified M45.
edit: did some research, some people say it's the M45 some other says it's MP45. guess one might be for the older 2.3 engine and one for the new engine.
