Get the Manual trans, and get Leather. The touchshift on the autotrans is virtually useless. Driving and stopping on hills is no big deal once you get the hang of driving stick every day. I learned to drive on stick, and many years later, always prefer the manual, no matter the conditions.

Also, get C7 no mater what you buy...its the best 750 bucks you'll spend on your car C7 adds several changes, some small(cool metal pedals), some large(wheels) that really do make a big difference in the overal character of the car.

 

I think you're confusing the fact that the slushbox gets better mpg with its 0-60 times. The manny is generally .4 or .5 quicker in published 0-60 times.

For SF, even I would recommend the slushbox, after going there for the first time awhile ago. Scary, scary hills.
