I'm just a stick-in-the-mud and like my upright star, thanks.

Poll: Preferences for a NEW DFWdude Chrome Badge...
From time to time, I've gotten requests for WHITE STAR Flat Badges or AMG Flat Badges with the blue laurel wreath done in black, mostly from people with black cars. While changing the color on badge inserts already made is not in the cards, I thought this all chrome style might work. What do you think?
The core of this badge is made from an S-Class part (#221-880-0086), not the blue laurel wreath cores from the W210 E-Class part (#210-880-0186). So the S-Class part will cost $10 more to buy from the dealer, which means the finished badge will cost $10 more than my previous work. So keep that in mind.
If any of you are interested in this new, Chrome Flat Badge, please click on this link DFWdude@tx.rr.com to let me know and I will put you on a list. At this time I am only gauging interest in this style and have not decided to actually make examples for sale.

Fellas, for those with one of the newer, W204 C-Class Luxury Sedans with the blue wreath badge in the upper grille, then maybe "plain" works better than the "double badge look" that some don't like. And over the years, I've received 100+ emails from W203 owners who -- for whatever reason -- dislike the blue wreath.
Photography doesn't properly capture this Chrome look. In the sunlight, it is very bright and really stands out...
I've always preferred the Blue Wreath myself. But it doesn't please everyone.

Seeing the upright star on my hood gives me enjoyment and brings back good memories. Since I was a child in Stuttgart, seeing the Benz star on top of the central train station, I wanted to see it when I'm driving. "One day" I used to always say to myself when browsing MB dealerships. Learning to drive in Australia where Mercedes cars are very expensive didn't help. So now I'm in my 30s, a little dream came true. So I'll stick with it :-)
If/when I upgrade to a w204 avantgarde (couple of years from now), I might even ask for the grill to be changed to the 'classic', that's how much I like it. I only like the flat badges on coupes.
But that is pure personal preference, nice badges!
