2006 Mercedes Benz C280 4-Matic
Hello! New to the forums

Hey guys as the title says, i'm relatively new to the forums. I've browsed multiple Mercedes Benz forums, and this one seems to be the most helpful and popular. I've actually been a long time surfer.

Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris. Long time mustang guy, who just rencently got into the Mercedes Benz scene. I picked up my silver 2006 c280 4-Matic a few months after i hydroplaned the GT. I love the quality, comfort, and AWD capabilities of this car! Never going back to mustangs again (for other reasons as well).

I'm definitely into the modifying scene, but i've always been **** about it. I like to keep my cars stock looking by using factory parts (or replicas) to achieve a truly custom look. I'm sure i'll be asking a-lot of questions down the road, so i'd greatly appreciate any feedback or help! It's definitely fun being a noob and learning everything all over again with the Mercedes haha. Anyways, I don't have good pictures of my Benz due to weather, but i'll upload some of the GT.

Look forward to conversing with some fellow w203 folks!

Just search for information before asking lol. Many will say stff if you ask a general question. Most if the topics you probably want answered have a thread or a sticky on the subject. The search button is your friend. Enjoy your new mb as the modding bug will hit hard after being on this forum. I told myself get a MB so you don't mod it but that didn't happen.

Yeah, same with the new Challenger, and even the Camaro but I'd drop those verrry quickly. And then they'd look OK.

Of course, you couldn't see out of them, but that's another story.

Welcome to the forums. I'm interested to see how you'll get a custom look with factory parts, though.

Welcome, OP!

Sorry to hear about your Mustang. Then again, it was just a Mustang, anyway, so no big loss there.

Hahaha thanks for the warm welcome guys! To answer an earlier question, I was considering an AMG 55 frost fascia and spoiler. I'd love to try a c230 exhaust with what I believe to be the c32 amg rear fascia (single pipe)? Also, c32 brakes and some depo projector headlights. Not sure on the wheel style, but I definitely want AMG oem. Almost won an auction for clk500 amg wheels- lost in the last few seconds.

Well, don't paint yourself in a corner by only looking at oem/AMG parts - there are generally cheaper aftermarket parts out there that are at least as good as OEM in quality, generally lighter in weight, and better in performance (wheels, swaybars are great examples).

Looking to head in this direction as well as far as mods go... I have been having a problem sourcing the OEM Amg brake calipers and rotors though..May go with an aftermarket kit from stop tech or Ksport..Keep us posted on your progress and welcome..
