My first Mercedes !
Hello all. I'm brand new to these forums, I hope to learn as much as I can.
Bought a 2004 C240 4matic with 62k miles. Asking was $16.3k, I picked it up for $12.6k..decent deal I think?
Its a one owner clean car fax with black on dark tan interior. Almost looks brand new inside. I was amazed by the great condition in and out.
I only got a 30 day warranty so I'm gonna take it to an Indy specialist to do a thorough look over for any possible problem areas and maybe get them addressed while I still can.
Any comments or suggestions you guys can make to assure I'm starting off my Mercedes ownership on a positive note would be greatly appreciated.

get ready to rebuild the front end...and plenty more
always go to autozone for check engines and learn to put the car on stands to look at the car yourself...do not go to the dealership for anything except recall or campaign work
c240's get random problems with the abs, esp, limp mode
spend time on this forum and learn before anything happends
other than that i heard its a good engine but slower than the i4

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure what you mean by rebuilding the front end ??
I guess I should be searching for some sort of warrany if costly repairs are def in my future..?

front end as in the front suspension probably. 12.6k is ok... I got my 06 c230 with 50k for 13.5k out the door with a 20k extended warranty. Read up on all the issues and recalls for your car, make sure all the fluids have been changed out and properly filled with the correct fluids. Make sure all the suspension bushings and components are good. Enjoy the new MB.

it depends if u can get the repairs done cheaply
if u pay about 50 an hour for labor and get the parts half off then ull b fine
autohauzaz.com and partsgeek.com are the cheapest
