Ordering a C320 Coupe

Hey all -- New here. This is a very nice forum and have learned a lot the last few days.

I have been test driving the C320, Infinity G35 Coupe, and the BMW 325 Coupe. Driving them so much the dealers are tired of me putting miles on their cars It is down to the G35 and C320. I can't get Infinity to deal with me at all because the Coupe with 6 speed is in such high demand. I am talking 3 grand under wholesale on my trade. I love the G35 power, but like driving the C320 better.

So, off tomorrow and get a C320 ordered - if they come to my terms. I want silver, C5, C7, 6-disc CD. and 6 speed. They could only find three 6 speed cars in the US. One in Seattle, on in SF, and one in Hawaii and none have the options I want. (I am in Alabama). They say they can get my car in 3 months max. It is worth the wait! I have been trading cars too much, so this will be a keeper.

Have a great day and wish me luck!

I ordered my C320 coupe w/6 speed, c1,c5,c7,comand, cd in January. I took delivery last week. Be prepared for a long wait. It's a rare car.

Go for ordering...

Since you've had the chance to try the C320 Coupe out and liked it:

I'd say get it exactly the way you want...since you're planning on keeping it, why compromise?

With the 3 month wait, you could probably market your existing car on your own, and get a better resale value. And you'll have the time to get it sold.

I did a order and even though I had to wait, it was worth it...got it just as I intended.

I love my C320 Coupe, it's auto, but quick shifts and I got tried of shifting while driving in town, each to his own. The car is perfect for me, now 60 years old and I have driven a lot of different sporty cars. Love the hatch back, had a 240Z (drive and race) and 1971 Mach1 Mustang, the coupe puts me right back to the good old years, great car and you will have years of enjoyment.
Good Luck
It's worth the wait.

I have to agree with Hal H....get what you want, wait and relax knowing it's on it's way. Don't pay for something less, then regret it later.

I bought an '02 C230 Coupe (6sp) and I'm really happy with the car. The dealer offered me sticker value on it after 4 months....but I decided to keep it and I'm damned glad I did (the deal was to trade on a 1.8 coupe or old style CLK320).

The 320 motor is smooth, and the extra ponies are nice but I like the grunt of the 2.3 liter kompressor(wider power/tourque ranges than the 1.8)

sidenote: make sure you get the AMG rear spoiler!(STF)

When you let the hammer down the C320 has a nice sound also, and little deeper and as my car get's older it sounds better. Also the AMG rear spoiler is a nice touch.

You made the right choice I love my 6sp C320. I've had it for a month now and it is a joy to drive. Even my son loves to drive it. Order in Magma Red and we'll have a matching pair.

I got lucky as mine was on the dealer lot for a couple of weeks. Decided to buy it instead of waiting to order.

C230K: I order my spoiler for Autoclass, but it is on back order from AMG.
