Dealer gets busted ! $6500 rock.
Although, I will say that a few years ago I had my service rep tell me that I needed a new right rear coil spring. I took it to my indy shop, they had a service tech, shop manager, and shop owner look at it and say there's nothing wrong with it.

Last time I went to a stealer. Except for when they went through the free oil change phase a few years ago.

I have not heard of a single good Mercedes dealer in Vancouver - unless you're spending 6 figures. I think this dealer had a 722 in the front window for the longest time.
I don't know why people pay so much for service that is significantly less than what you get from Mr Lube for a fraction of the price.

The front pads still had a few thousand miles, but the rear pads were fine.
Every time I went in after that, I'd ask, how are my rear brakes?
They'd so, oh they're fine. And I be 'really? Cause you know you said they were bad 10, 20, 50K Miles ago and they've never been replaced?
How can this be? Can you EXPLAIN this to me, because I Really don't understand how that could be true?!
I mean, unless you tried to sell me service I didn't need, and you wouldn't do that would you?
Ha...A holes.
Oh and they wanted $360 for each axle just for pads, no rotors.
And the wheels were already off to be rotated as part of my free services under 50K miles,
so all they had to do was slip out the old pads and put in the new ones, about 5 minutes an
axle considering the car was already on a lift.
Gotta love Smythe.

So he got billed like 40 hours, and they had the car for less than 24, and it was a sunday and no one worked on it that day.
PS
The first time I was there I paid for a camber kit install. The kit was installed as requested (no probs there) but the car still pulled left. They said I needed 2 new tyres at the front. Took it to the non-benz dealer I bought the car from. Turned out they didnt align the wheels properly after putting in the camber kit.

I noticed a slow leak, and asked my wife to take it to the dealer to get it fixed. She called me and said the service writer told her she needed 3 new tires because the "walls were cracked." I told her to have them put on. She waited and when the bill came she called me. I faxed a copy of the bill to the service manager for the tires that were put on just four months ago. He called me and said the bill was taken care of. The writer did not see that paperwork in the file. I said "Thanks, and you will align the new tires please?"
I wonder who got the four month old tires with the cracked sidewalls?
