RIP C230 :(

And just like that.... My C230 is now gone. I got into a fairly big accident with a F150 by my university on tuesday. The guy who hit me was going 45 mph when he rear ended me without even touching his brakes. Apparently he was looking down..... As of a couple hours ago, it seems as though the car will be marked as totaled.

I got placed in a stretcher and taken for tests and they cme out negative. I just have some bad whiplash. Head neck and back pains.

So now I wonder to myself, what's next? And how much should I expect from insurance?

She was such a pretty C class too :-(

I bet it didn't have a lot of lag in the heat when it got slammed by an F-150..

I jest, I jest - glad you're okay. Cars can be replaced very easily. If an F-150 had hit you at 45mph there would be no doubt, the car would be completely destroyed. Post up some pics.

That's really bad news! I'm glad you're ok. Be sure to check with a doctor and a lawyer about your neck. I don't usually suggest that for things like this but I had whiplash once and it really did come and go over the next ten or so years - and my accident doesn't sound nearly as bad as yours. I hope and expect that your neck will be fine.

The fun part may be picking out the next ride! Good luck!

Here's the damage...

I really hope I can upgrade but I am not sure what kind of compensation I can get. My head back and neck still hurt!

Glad you are okay and still take jokes.

It sucks that it's total, as it seems, it would be. Too much structural damage to the frame.

How many mileage was on it?

I am sure you can get another replacement of the same model. Upgrade, I don't know, you might have to throw some in. It sucks that our cars depreciate real fast. I am wondering if it has to do with all the mechanical issues as the mileage racks up.

Are you going to sell some of those aftermarket parts???

She's in the East Coast. Pretty far for a C350. But then again, it's a rare car.

I mean if you get it shipped its not that much different how far its going, you still have to go threw the same hassle. But then again it would cost more to have it shipped farther

The freight cost of shipping a car isn't that bad.

Dealer paid to ship the last car I purchased, half-way cross country.

It only had 68k miles on it and I literally JUST got her retuned before that accident...

That C350 would be AWESOME, but the bay is pretty far and I still have no idea how much I will have to play with. I have had 4 accidents in the past 8 months... and all 4 have not been my fault and I was stationary, not even moving at all, during all 4. I have awful luck lol

Hopefully they dish out around 15 for the car and some more for the pain&suffering. That would be nice.

C55?

Saw the pictures in your earlier post. Man that's sad...

Uh... Don't take this the wrong way... but with your luck, I'm glad you live several states away!

I hope your luck improves!

The only thing I could have sold was a Carlsson rear spoiler and black side markers.. The Carlsson spoiler cracked

I think if they give you 15 that would be pretty fair. Throw 6k on top of that and you've got your self a nice C55

Wow! Glad your OK.
Gotta say, our cars hold up pretty well for getting A-holed by an F-150 doing 45.
