have you ever hear about softelectronic.com

hello i have a 722.9 transmission in my 2007 c280 and been diagnose with the valve body speed sensor fault, browsing MB uk forums i found this site, that states they can copy the information on the control in the faulty control valve body and put it in a new one, it's in belgium, i already sent an email regarding all the details and I'm waiting for them to reply,
whats your opinion on this?
again here`s the site www.softelectronic.com

As far as I recall, there is no programming needed to replace the conductor plate on the 7G. Only replacing the whole valve body needs reprogramming. Since you have the speed sensor error, that is generally just conductor plate replacement.

Hello Kivev, did you ever send your conductor plate to Softelectronic. I'm considering the same but I need to know if they're legit.

Yes, they are legit.
They cover any problems with the 7G/722.9 conductor plate now not just the speed sensor.
Also they have a US branch now www.softelectronic.us 770 866 7867 is the us phone #
I sent mine in and they did it on a 1 day exchange

Also Johnand

The valve body is a metal object with springs and valves, separation plate etc. non electronic parts. The solenoids and the conductor plate/TCM are attached to the valve body they are the electrical and electronics parts. I believe you are mixing the 722.6 gear box controller with the 7g/722.9 controller where the first of these does not need programming its 'plug and play' where the 7G/722.9 unit needs to be programmed if changed. However if you have your original conductor plate repaired u can just stick it back in. Maybe get a new adaptation done to get smoother shifts.

Did you get your 2 year written warranty, My car is running great. SOFTELECTRONIC LTD in Bulgaria is a great company. I shipped my valve body from Mississippi to Bulgaria and they even paid the shipping cost for me

Sorry to jump in here so late, but there is a place in Van Nuys CA called Module Repair Pro Inc. Just had my 2006 E350 TCM repaired (rebuilt) through them and it only cost $270 with a LIFETIME warranty. You can find them on Ebay also.

geropantaleev is right. You are NOT replacing with a virgin TCM, so no need to reprogram or change anything in the e-prom chip, they REBUILD the sensors etc. HARD to beat the price and the warranty. I called softelectronics, price was a $100 more and the warranty wasn't long at all... I guess being frugal has it's benefits?..haha..

I only paid $70 for 12qts of 236.14 compatible trans fluid. Don't ask me name etc., I do NOT want to start a war here..lol Let's just say it works EXCELLENT and my 722.9 transmission shifts quieter, smoother (I can't even feel it) than ever before...
