Has yet to happen to me in 4 years of regular automatic car washes. But silver doesn't show much either way. That being said, the black 135i also sees exclusive automatic car wash use and is fine as well.
My C230 is an $8000 car on its best day. I'm not sure why so many people still act like it's a rare, high value exotic that can't go to automatic washes or Wal-Marts.

front bumper complete strip and paint: $300
Driver side fender tsrip paint: $225
Trunk PDR: $150
Negotiated every thing for $650 (out of pocket cash) and the car will look super again.........
cannot believe I am paying just 300 to get the chewed up front bumper fixed.......
will post some pics when done...
I hate poeple who are not carefull of cars parked next to theirs.....

The cars don't dent easily. I have a few hail dings, but the body panels are remarkably stout. So is the paint.. unfortunately, I threw my bag on the trunk the other day and the zipper scratched the everloving f--- out of the trunk lid. Lucky it is small and my car is silver.

Parked my car in a semi shady area about a year ago, someone broke off the hood emblem, since then ive gone with the flat badge
A week later in the same area they broke off my windshield wiper! the whole arm it was way too expensive

Speaking about things getting ripped off out cars, I just got my roof spoiler jacked at frys electronics this morning. I parked the car and it was on it when I got there, went inside for 45 mins and when I came back the roof spoiler was gone.
