Does anybody know how to remove the front passenger seats? Or know a DIY guide or happened to have a c230 repair manual?

unplug the harneses and unscrew the 4 bolts. or the other way around Its very easy. make sure ignition is off. key out. dont power up while disconected or you will throw SRS fault codes.

Are the front seats (driver + passenger) interchangeable?

But you could probably disassemble the seats and swap the foam/upholstery on them.

I don't understand. Can you elaborate a little more? The knobs are on the door, not the seat itself, so what exactly will be reversed?

That's true if you have the power seats, which you obviously have, then. However, it wouldn't surprise me if there were some residual design elements left over from the non-powered seats that would make it so you still couldn't reverse the two. Making completely non-side-specific seats just for the powered seats sounds too expensive to me on a mass-produced car. I could be wrong, though.
