It is only needed in the rear doors of a W203. The outside skin rattles a bit. Apply the material in the center of the panel. It does not need to cover all the way to the edges.

yea don't put another free air woofer in there, you'd be going backwards. and i have the material for very cheap if you want any, a kit specifically made for the doors.

You can mix and max manufacturers speakers and crossovers, but the specifications should be the same. When mixing manufacturers you need to be mindful of the phasing of the speakers. To test you can use a AA battery. Connect the + to the red or + on the speaker, the - to the other speaker terminal. Observe if the cone jumps in or out. All should be the same. If different change the polarity of the wires so all speakers move the same direction.
alright i just thought there was something wrong with the wiring of the speakers. will it sound weird if i mix and match crossovers, tweeters, and speakers?

In mine I built spacers and put 6 1/2 up front and 5 1/4 in the rear
See attached pics.

Yeah 5.25 only works with an adapter, mounting flush to the door you'll have to use 6.5 as they barely clear for drilling into the metal. Just got my 8" sub installed in the rear deck and damn does it sound good. Just the right amount of bass. Using an Alpine Type R 8" Woofer handle 350W, pushing with MRP-M500. Will take a pic and post it soon, I highly recommend this for people who are looking for low end.

8" Subwoofer Rear Deck Install

8" Mounted Alpine Type R 350W RMS Handle w/ MRP-M500 500W RMS amp, all on the rear deck. I did door speakers but it didn't give me the low end I needed. In fact it reduced the low end but provided great mid-high end and cleaner low end instead of distorted low end audio. But it wasn't cutting it so did this a few days ago.

I like that LED strip you have in there, what did you wire it too?
