GENUINE Velour? Is there disingenuous velour out there?
Or imitation velour? Does your come from a rare exotic animal?
I have to say I like your car pretty much the way it is!

I may be mistaken here but if I'm reading this right... the w203's can and so can the w202's... well at least my C36 could and so can my C55.
There are two black latches located on either side of the trunk. One on the driver side the other on the passenger side. Both at the top of the trunk where the lid would sit. Pull them and like magic the rear seats will pop forward allowing you to make space for a "medium" sized object.
The speaker bar gets in the way so it can't be too big.. but it does help out.

Yes - I pretty much like it the way it is. Has all the nice to have toys. I was lucky finding it.

Out Of Control!!
All ccoupes have fold-down rear seats. Tons of storage, too.
Wasn't the fold-down rear seat a stand-alone option on sedans?

Yes Tommy ~ you are correct. 1/3, 2/3 split back seat folding was an option. Don't know how you triggered the folding.

I don't know when I had the "ah-haaa" moment.. but I know it was years after owning the car.. and I want to say it was after I got the C55. Either way.. which ever car I figured it out on.. C36 or C55.. I felt pretty dumb.

Simply Pull.

And then magic.. the rear seat comes down.. there is one per side.
