front drivers window problem.

Another damn problem with this car. I tried to put the window up and heard a nasty grinding type sound and the window wont go up. I pulled the door panel and it seems like the cables came off track. the cables get tight and the window goes down but when I try and put the windows up the motor turns and the cable gets lots of slack in it and the window doesnt move. I tried to track the whole cable system and it all appears in place and I don notice any broken clips. Anyone had any experience with this problem?

replaced the window regulator today. Mine had angled brackets that hold the glass and the one that i bought had brackets that were straight up but i was able to switch them (pain in the ***) got it all in and works but now seems like the motor is going out. My passenger one is on its way out to so theyre about due. wish it would have gave me warning BEFORE i put it all back together. followed this link https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...regulator.html and used rivots in all holes instead of bolts.

Do I need to have the dealer do a torque reset on the regulator? the motor seemed fine before the regulator broke.
