S/C Removal
Looking for input on what else I can do while I'm in there...
I'd like to:
r/r the tensioner pulley assembly.
r/r drive belt.
r/r squeeky pulley.
r/r valve cover gasket.
remove silencer from S/C.
What gaskets do I need once I remove the S/C?
What else should I replace... hoses? gaskets? etc...
Should I change out the fluid in the S/C?
Any input would be greatly appreciated... what gotchas to look out for, what not to do... you know!

I put new belts in at that time and pulled the SC muffler and I had a leaking exhaust gasket.
I'd already replaced tensioners and some pullies. My battery was down to around 400 CCA (it's supposed to be like 900)so that got replaced too right around that time.
Are you sending the SC out for a rebuild?
I suppose I should think about new belts again.
What you really need is an EPC account. It's free though they'll ask for a credit card # but not charge you.
You can look at the diagrams, and see exactly what you need and place an order online for the best prices.

There is no need to tamper with a working supercharger. I don't see anything on your list that you couldn't replace while leaving the S/C in place.
I can NOT get to that damn top bolt on the engine mount... If someone would send me the correct shorty wrench... I'd pay for shipping, handling and a "rental" fee... otherwise I'm lost.
And my tensioner is making so much noise... it is going to have to be replaced ASAP.
If someone can point me in the right direction to replace those two items without taking the S/C off, I'd be much obliged, and probably a case of beer would end up on your doorstep... for real.
I halted (if you see other threads I've created very recently) the removal... and will most likely call to have an Indy this week... BUT, again, if someone can lend a hand... could save me a chunk of change!

I was quoted to replace the belt tensioner pulley by the same indy and he made no mention of S/C removal though to be fair I have not had to have that done yet. Although if you are not experiencing problems with the tensioner, why bother? My M271 has done over 140,000 on the stock one.

The tensioner assembly is making so much noise with the a/c on... I'm embarrassed to stop at a stop light, sign or drive up... I usually just put the car in N... that stops the noise...
I've read that just changing out the pulley is not enough... you need to change out the tensioner. Thanks for all the replies Lilbenz!!!
