Kleeman 320 experience help

Hi, has anybody here ever gotten the Kleemann compressor for the 320 V6 engine? my car is due in sept and i was jus wondering how th esupercharger would perform if i got it

if so, could you please tell me how much it cost to install, how long it took, how well it works, and how much faster your 0-60 time was?

its actually a CLK 320 coupe. I wanted to get a CLK 500, but my dad would not let me, I even offered to pay the difference. I would rather get a CLK500 than a CLk320 and super charger anyways. Even though the CLK500 would be slower, by 30 hp, it would cost thousands less.

but I crashed my SLK recently because of rain and bald tires, now my dad has this misconception that I drive to fast, even though I was only going 20-25mph coming off the off-ramp before I starting spinning counter-clockwise and hit a 18-wheeler.... the 2nd 18-wheeler in 6 months (side collision)...

and I cannot live with myself knowing that my car cannot do 0-60 in under 6 secs... so I have decided to get a kleemann super charger behind his back , since he will not allow me to pay for the difference for a CLK500. its the only way!

im asking questions in this forum instead of the CLK forum because there are more C-class owners than CLK-owners, therefore more people would be able to answer my questions.

I posted this same question in the CLK forum and it has 60+ views and no response!!!!

in this forum, it has less than 20 and i already got a response ^_^

why not just look for a used C43. It would cheaper than buying a 209 CLK320 than s/c it to void the engine warranty. Although I remember if you go with Kleemann, they will take care of the engine warranty.

honestly... i agree with you... but... my dad decided on the CLK320

I originally asked for a C32 because I did not like the SLK (i dont like 2 seaters... it ain't no fun if the homies cant have none, cause the homies cant fit in the car!)

but after I got into a car accident 2x in 6 months (jus bad luck, honestly, not reckless driving) my sister and dad decided I did not deserve a C32... can't really argue with that

so he decided to get me a C320, but after complaining he decided to order me a 04' CLK320 because i was so disappointed I couldnt get a C32 anymore

and when i asked to pay the difference for a CLK500, my sister said i was too young and did not deserve to drive a 500

then i said why dont you just give me the money so i can pick my own car, can i get a used car? and my dad said no because he doesnt like to buy used cars

i honestly wouldnt mind. actually, i like the C43 better than the C32, i think the C43 w202 looks better

but its not my money, so i dont have much say in how it gets spent

bahah....how old r U? be grateful, at least ur dad still gonna get you a CLK320. Trust me, I've walked in the same shoe before. Don't ask how my dad even baught me a C32 after I crashed my 00 328Ci (just say that I've learned my lesson). Part of the reason I guess it's because the insurance paid us $42k. Just be grateful...

NOTE TO SELF, Get new sister!

Be happy with a CLK320. I tell you what, I'll trade you my C230 for your new CLK320. You can always put a set of power pullies on it, Evosport will probably offer them soon. Try a new intake, should be good for 5-10hp, and then you may be able to get a new exhaust system too. By the time you get it, there may be a chip out for it too. Lightweight rims will also help your 0-60 times. The CLK320, should be close to a 6.5 0-60 right?

KL316 can your dad buy me some rims?! Sorry I just couldn't help it but to ask....If you can pay the difference between a 320 and 500 then yea I would spend the money on a supercharger for your 320 that be pretty tight....check with Kleeman, also check with HPS:
http://www.myhps.com/hpssuper.html

goodluck...let us know how it comes along....though i'm 28 i wish my dad would buy me a CLK 320! enjoy man.... you got a cool dad...

I was gonna reply about the spoiled brat

But instead I just gonna go to the bathroom and PUKE! I think the best solution between the C32,CLK and 55 is for you to buy your own car. It would satisfy two major issues I see here:
1. You will appreciate your own car.
2. You will drive safer (You bought it).

To Maguzma

I also felt the 500 was better not because its faster, but its actually cheaper all together than the CLK320 after what I want to do to it.

By spending and extra 7000-8000 for the CLK500, I would get the AMG Body Kit, a Faster 302hp engine, Bigger Rims, Better Suspension, and Bigger Brakes. I wouldnt really need to do anything aftermarket.

But instead, im might spend almost 10,000 (after installation) on a supercharger.

So I was not trying to act like a "spoiled brat", I was just realizing that spending an extra 7000-8000 on the CLK500 would save me more money in the future, but my older sister (who should not have said anything anyways) decided to step in and say NO.

Thats why im complaining in this forum so much because everytime I think about it i just get sooooo mad!!!!

i mean... crap.... spoiled brat?? I wasn't even asking my dad to pay for it, I offered to pay for the difference myself!

HPS doesnt make anything for a V6. Kleemann (thats the correct way to spell it, with 2 n's at the end) would be the best bet. Where are you located? Just curious.

I hang out at Starbucks in Pasadena all the time. The one next to Best Buys. You should come out sometime and hang out with us. Its usually 3-10 mb's depending on who is free.

Hey KL316 I know how you felt. But can you really handle a car with that much power??? I almost got my mom to get me a C32 when I first got my "N" license (some new driver stuff that BC has). I am also not trying to act like a spoiled brat, I was just ignorant back then. I told her it's only a bit faster than the ML320 since she's driving one and she knows nothing about car until she asked my uncle about the C32 who works in the MB dealer. And last she got me a C Coupe. Seriously I can't really handle the car after I got the ASP pulley with ESP off. No offence but I think it's better to get a slower car to learn some skills before going to more powerful cars especially if you crashed your car twice.

but I don't think what kind of car you drive determines how you drive. There are idiots out there with early 80's Toyota Corolla weaving in and out of the traffic all the time. You think that car's powerful?

self control is far more important then what do you drive.

Heh, sorry guess I was being ignorant again :p
But then I still believe it takes more skill to control a car that has more power than a weak car..

throttle control...maybe, but it definitely takes more skill to drive a POS that has hellish bodyroll and small tires on the track then a sports car. The point is you gotta know where the car's limit lies and don't cross the line.
