I had an old Hyundai that was constantly slipping gears. I'm almost certain that they screwed up the transmission fluid change. It happened very slightly/intermittently and gradually got worse and worse. Ultimately, the transmission wuold constantly slip and revs would go flying before it re-engaged and slammed into gear so hard I thought my teeth were gonna fly out.
This happened intermittently until the transmission decided to give up on the highway.
They must have screwed something up because when my transmission shop took it apart he said what little oil was left had burnt up.
Double check your fluid level/condition. Sounds like damage has already been done though.
