2003 C230K and 2010 ML350
HELP
Driving yesterday and my car suddenly dies when starting in first gear (manual tranny) would start for a second then bog out, got towed home, now wont start at all. starter is working perfectly, there is air getting in, could be a fuel pump???? brand new oil filter as of 2 weeks ago.
anyone had similiar problemss??

CPS (crankshaft position sensor), Spark, Fuel Filter clogged or Fuel pump are likely causes.
The fact that it cranks means it is not the usual fuse 52 blown. 15 amp - must be replaced with 20 amp per Benz TSB.
Measure fuel pressure at the Schrader valve on the front fuel rail that connects the injectors.
It should be >3.8 bar or 55psi.
