2002 C240 Electrical issues
Hi,
I have some weird electrical problems with my 2002 C240 (45k miles).
Couple of weeks ago after driving in rain I noticed that one night after I locked the car using the remote somehow the fog lights started to blink. If I unklocked the car and then locked it again, the fog lights were ok. From that day I had to double check everythime when I locked the car if no lights stayed on to drain the batery.
It worked like that for 2 more weeks, when the remote stoped working. I can't lock/unlock the car anymore with the remore. I have to use the key. I still can use the remote to start/stop the car and when I click the remote buttons, the red LED blinks.
Also, after I red on the internet about it, I checked the alarm as well. It seems not to work (I armed the alarm being in the car and then opened the dors with no problem. The alarm didn't go off.)
Another weird thing is that the radio signal is not clear as it was before. It happens on most radio stations to loose the signal strength.
Any help is much appreciated.

Fixed it
I finally found the issue. The alarm siren is broken and it was blowing fuse #8 (in the trunk). I disconnected the alarm (behind the passenger front wheel fender), replaced the fuse and everything works fine now.
Until I'll buy a new alarm siren, I'm happy the with that.
