took me about an 1 hour to install, but you have to remove the center trim, the radio to get access to the back of the radio and console (to tap power into the lighter) . the adaptor box can fit in the space behind, just make sure you secure it or will have a rattles While you have everything out it is good to install additional 12v / usb accessory outlet for GPS, radar detector, phone charger etc in the top part of the glove box, (an extra hour). The outlet in the console is in a terrible place especially if you have the long plug for the Garmin GPS with the traffic antenna and you drive a stick

If you have the cassette, it can be modified but it's not super easy for the average person.
OR use something like the uh forget what it's called, plugs into the DB2 loop and the system see's it as a CD changer, but you can plug your ipod into it. That costs like $400.




The best you can do with a pre-facelift 02-04 is manually install an aux in through the tape deck if you want to stay OEM. For aftermarket, you can install a Dension 500 (iirc), but that is pretty pricey. This is what c230 is talking about.
