Leaving for now
Mileage was getting up there...Ended up selling the c230. Have a friend working at vw that got me an unbelievable deal on a brand new 2012 GLI. Just couldn't say no really. 6 speed of course.

And thank you guys for all the help with diagrams and pictures as far as maintenance goes. This is a great forum with invaluable amounts of resources. Looking into selling the cayenne soon and possibly getting into a GLK. So maybe I will be back. Thanks again guys.

What mileage were you at on the C230?

Farewell. GLI is a good choice. That 2.0L TSI is a great little engine with lots of power potential.

c230 was at 159k... Thanks johnand. 1 and a half weeks of driving 90 mi a day 5 days a week and she's getting better and better

C230 was manual. Every car I have ever owned has been manual, just one of those things you know?. To compare the two. The mercedes was definitely a smoother ride, The GLI is rougher on the bumps. The GLI is also front wheel drive vs the c230 rear wheel, so no more drifts in the rain, and it has been raining a lot here. GLI comes with bluetooth, sd card slot ,integrated ipod connection which my c230 didnt have. But it did have the navi command and this vw doesn't, but I mainly used my droid for navi anyways. Power wise, the c230 doesn't even come close to this little 2.0T monster. I have a corvette and used to have a 350z that was pushing 263whp. But there is something about this GLI that just puts a smile on my face everyday to work. Maybe the turbo noise? maybe the rumbling engine and exhaust tone. It's just overall a neat car. At least so far. It's also brand new

Here's an interior shot for the hell of it. It's already dirty cause I use it . It's no MB-Tex, but it's sure a nice hugging seat.

Yeah until 2013 ... Vw designed bix with those Audi style LEDs that are on the new cc. Eventually I'll have them on my car when they are out.
