What does "QF 1.0" mean
When resetting the service options for oil, all I get is QF 1.0 and cannot get to the 229.5 section. What am I doing wrong?

bump.
Same here ... was checking out the procedure today in preparation for doing my own oil change this weekend, and "QF 1.0" is the oil type displayed and cannot be changed.

A google search nets this,
A. Is for the FSS= flexible service system. The oils grade
B. Deactivated the ESP sys. For dyno testing with emissions etc.
C. Is the batteries current voltage as read from the cluster
D. The software and hardware versions for the cluster.
None of this is important for you unless you're a service tech. Even then we don't use.

Yeah, that was from another thread where someone was asking what all the service menu and info items meant ... I think it mentioned you could select either 229.3 or 229.5 as the oil grade ... however nothing about QF 1.0.

Ditto for the QF 1.0. I just did an oil change last night. Whateva, I just accepted it and it changed over for me. I don't think it will affect anything. At least I hope not.

Same here ... just changed the oil and was able to reset the service indicator no problem ... however my only oil choice was still "QF 1.0". Now it says I have 13000 miles until the next service. I would imagine that the choice of oil affects the computer's estimate of miles until next service ... for those of you who can actually select an oil type, which oil type did you choose and how many miles does your interval now show after the reset?
