Ask your dealer about the new 2013 500T, fits in nicely between the Abarth and the Sport, has 135 hp from a simpler turbo setup, has same bodywork as the Abarth, and is 19,500 or so. That might be a good option for you.
Let me know how things go with it; it's on my short list for replacement of my coupe.
Yeah, things never end the way you thought they would. Stuff happens. Good luck with the sale.

The 2012 500's sales have been very disappointing for Fiat (way too lofty forecasts are mostly to blame), so there's tons of inventory left on most dealer lots.
The T is the starter Abarth in most of the world. A rose by any other name...

You should look into bringing a CLC over to the states. That would set you apart

Where do you get your news on the car from? I'd be interested to find out what is changing in 2013.

I'm on fiat500owners.com, but there are several sites devoted to the car. I think I saw a rundown of all of the changes for 2013 listed over there, but I don't think there are that many. There's going to be a 500L (ugly) and 500XL (super ugly) eventually, but right now, just the intro of the T, some monkeying around with what's standard, and a healthier Abarth allotment are the major changes.

Yes, it has. US is finally catching up.

The L and XL don't appeal to me at all. I'm sitting on the fence over the offer they have up right now. If I don't jump on it, it ends on Sept 4th. But I can't see the prices going up. I mean the 2013 models are going to be coming out.
If I can wait a bit longer the 500T sounds exciting.
Currently I have a buyer who wants the car for $3,800 with the AMG brakes, Kleeman kit, and the ported S/C. I think he would be getting an amazing deal. I'm kinda thinking no. Weirdly, all communication has been via email. He wanted to set a price prior to seeing the car.

My coupe brother, wait till you hand heals.
I cannot bear to think of those parts going to some unappreciative numskull, who's gonna pay you 2 grand for the whole car, and guess what, thats what those parts are worth.
Unfortunately, I have nowhere to work on cars these days.
Just wait. Be patient. I mean, removing the Kleeman pulley takes an hour or so, ($500) Bix, maybe 2. ($800) Suspension, granted is a pain, not sure what you have.
But BBK is probably $400-500.
Have a part out party like Blake did and find some numnut like me with mechanical skills to do all the work for you. Granted, not sure how many have the ability but likely better chance in SoCal.
BTW- I have the same damn problem with my AC.
Always blow on the floor, a motor or something is broke, and haven't had enough initiative to pull the whole dash apart.
You won't be getting 240K out of a FIAT. I have experience with these things.
One other thing. No setting prices in advance. Assssshwholes just use that to
work you, show up with 1/2 the agreed upon amount and start negotiating AFTER they show up,
and you've supposedly worked out a price.

As of now, I'm leaving the Bix, Kleeman kit, Suspension and BBK on the car. Cue pathetic sad violin song....I'd love to spend some last hours wrenching her back to stock goodness, but my left hand is toast. Typing is a chore. I have Occupational Therapy coming up. Grrrr, this is not how is was to end.

Also to work you down a bit with excuses such as "well this is damaged" etc.
I want your pulley!
I am suppose to be in LA for Thanksgiving. If that is any incentive to keep it a bit. I wouldn't sell it at that price. Ever.
C230 Sports Coup. I wouldn't mind helping you out with the dash removal.

Well, my son got rear ended in my 02 coupe and the diff if toast. If the insurance totals it instead of fixing it, I'd be in the market. I'll PM if this happens.

Its likely the foot vent lever that's broken,... the plastic levers are more likely to break than the stepper motors.
Mercedes Part Number: A203-830-00-33
HVAC Control Lever Kit For Left/Right Footwell Flap Levers Contains: (2) Control Levers (about $20)

Yeah, but what about installation?
My X would wear her ug boots in the summer.
When I run the climate control diag, it just loops, which means it fails.
If the motors are going through the motions, wouldn't it finish even if the arms are broken?

Hmmm,.... sounds like you're getting cold feet.

The car knows how the vents are being cycled and the motors are limited to a certain range depending on where they are in the car so if one has a broken linkage it will just rotate forever or in the wrong range of motion and the car will just keep running the tester forever.

Tell your ex,... Ugg is short for UGLY!!!! Likely, she won't wear it as much after that,... or if she's like most females who love their Uggs,... she'll smack ya over your head with her Uggs,... I think the rewards are worth the risk,... but wear a helmet,... just in case! I can never understand why Chicks like Uggs.
Yes, Samaritrey's right,... when you run the HVAC diag-resynch,... if it fails, it won't matter whether it's broken linkage or motor,... it'll just loop forever until you turn off the car.
Also, without running the HVAC diag-resynch,... when you start the car, listen,.... you'll likely hear a clicking sound about every 5 seconds from your centre console,.. then it'll stop after about 45 seconds or so.
The vast majority of the time it's those plastic arm that's broken,... the redesigned arm are a bit stronger,... so if you've never changed them out, its time. Change both at the same time,... package contain both anyways.
I'd tell you to SEARCH,... but its already in the sticky,...
