2002 C230 potential part out
Update: Its with a heavy heart that I'm going to sell. A few snags. Tails lights and roof rack are ready to go. I can sell those items immediately. Feel free to PM Me for a shipping qoute. I'm down with the Dibs system, so I think the tails are spoken for.
I can coordinate local pick ups in either Gardena or Pasadena.
Small snag here. I have a left hand injury that has me unable to do any type of mechanical work. So I'm going to try to sell the car with the pulley, bix, etc. I'm putting up a Craigslist ad and I'll put the car on the forums I know of for Mercedes. I may put the car on Ebay. Not sure.
I'm once Again leaning toward parting out my C230 coupe. Should I be parting it out, I have some fun goodies that I will be putting up. These are the prices I'm thinking about, and I'm not committed to going through with the sale. Something tells me to wait and hold on to some of these parts which are unobtanium.

Kleeman single pulley kit with alternator pulley $450 (I have 135k trouble free miles with this)

I'm not in a rush to sell these parts. Next week, I'll be putting the car back to stock. And can likely ship in about a week, perhaps less.
If my prices are out of wack let me know. But on some of these pieces, I will have very little flexibility.

I updated the offering. I will take some pics of the parts tomorrow, and post them up. I'm going into the dealer to see if I can get a deal on my new car at the end of the month. I am open to a package deal, and could even help with install depending on the part purchased.

This still very much on the table. I got a dog bite that turned into a deep tendon infection, so I have been down since wed. Morning.
Here are some shots that show my big brakes and before and after of the s/c.

It's odd thinking of parting the car out. It runs well, and just got a new regulator on the alternator. But I just don't think I will get much for a 231k mile used coupe.

I need lot of parts too, I hear you on the value. Mine has 140k and needs the sunroof fixed for the third time and even after that I'd get about a grand for it on trade in.
But the wife has an "attachment" to it, I can actually respect.
Ill be on the edge of my seat on judgement day lol.

I'm out of the hospital now, but I can barely hold anything in my left hand. The infection was serious. I could have lost my hand, if not more, but I got lucky and responded quickly to an IV antibiotic called Clindamycin and one other I forget the name too.

Fiat 500. I'm sure I'll get a sport, but if I can get a good deal on an Abarth....
This is freaking weird. I'm actually sitting down and writing my ad. I would have no problem delivering this car anywhere in the US, but how do you write an ad where you have to talk about the querks of a seat module, a sunroof that doesn't open, A/C that blows super cold, but hits your feet, etc, etc, etc.....
What do you think a Coupe with 231k miles should be priced at? As of now, I'm leaving the Bix, Kleeman kit, Suspension and BBK on the car. Cue pathetic sad violin song....I'd love to spend some last hours wrenching her back to stock goodness, but my left hand is toast. Typing is a chore. I have Occupational Therapy coming up. Grrrr, this is not how is was to end.

Ask your dealer about the new 2013 500T, fits in nicely between the Abarth and the Sport, has 135 hp from a simpler turbo setup, has same bodywork as the Abarth, and is 19,500 or so. That might be a good option for you.
Let me know how things go with it; it's on my short list for replacement of my coupe.

I put the car on LA CL for $4,999 Don't know how thats going to fly. But the Bix alone are worth at least 800, the stereo at flea market prices is worth $500. We'll see.
