HELP!!! Dangerous Throttle Lag

I have to put the pedal through the floor and count out five seconds before the car will start to budge. Engine shuttered a bit at idle and shook the whole car. I have absolutely no idea what's wrong and it's not the carpet since the design prevents that from being an issue. Any one have any idea what is wrong with it?

Thx.

Not sure what CEL is. But it somehow went away just an hour ago. It happened a couple times while driving before but never consistently during an entire drive. Should I still do the throttle reset?

Similar Problem

I have a similar problem with my 2002 c230 kompressor. I have replaced the MAF and both o2 senors changed the furl filter and ran a compression test all with no change. I have CEL on and have (I cant remember the code) but the fault seems to be in bank 1....The car will idle a little rough and then smooth out but once in reverse or drive the car has a real hard time moving at all even when I remove my foot from the accelerator and apply load the car sputters and feels as if it will die(no back fire) I am tempted to clean the injectors but can not find the service port that will allow me to access the injectors on the car....I need real help here I am close to rolling the car down and hill an walk away HELP

2002 C320
My 02 c320 is doing the same thing right now.. in a few min. I am going to try the throttle reset thing.
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.

2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.

3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
