After reading through this forum and looking at all the cars I finally made some mods to my car. Got a great deal from the boys at Brabus in Newport so I had them drop it. Could not afford their rims so I went with the next best thing...replicas. Got the Expression grill since I personally can't stand the "other" grill. Finally, put on the MB flat badge and here are the results...

Looks really clean! ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So you are still using the stock shocks? What did they say about keeping them? How much for the Expression grill? Did they put it on or did you do it yourself?

Thanks elijah,
Yes they are the stock shocks/struts. They said the wear on the shocks/struts depends on my driving but that they will wear faster than normal because of the shorter spring. I put on the grill myself, cost about $600.

Did they not lower the front and rear the same? The gaps between tire and fender look the same for front and rear. If the car was lowered evenly, the rear should have a tucked-in look.

Jim,
That is one of the main reasons I went with the Brabus springs. I noticed that cars with H&R or Eibach lower evenly (big gap front, small gap rear). Most of the cars I have seen with Brabus springs lower more in the front, which is what I wanted (same size gaps). My car came stock with a #3 pad in the rear, which the Brabus tech said is what they use whenever they set up W203s regardless so I stuck with it. Could have gone with a higher or lower pad but I was happy with the results.

Your front is the same drop as the others from the looks of it... the #3 pad in the rear levels it out. The "springs" them selves still lower about the same.
Looks really good. Congrads!

The rims are Monet, I think they are the same as Moven. Not sure. As for the springs, I stand corrected. I beleive Brabus springs do not lower as much in "the back" as others do. I know a couple of people which have the H&R springs and even with the biggest pad (#4) their gaps still remain uneven.

Please post your drop measurements.
The correct way to measure is:
From the center of the wheel straight UP to the arch above the tire. This will verify the amout of drop in question.
Thanks!

Nice grill
There is just something about that grill instead of the "ebay" grill that is so much more impressive. Nice rims too! Are they chrome?

rrj - nice job! It looks perfect. The only thing I would suggest - if I may - would be spacers to push the rear wheels out a little (10-15mm).

But yes, and uneven drop, could skew braking and handling, wieght transfer, high speed stability, etc... so, which is even?
