2005 c230 kompressor 2003 s500 94 wrangler
a/c wouldnt turn on
so my a/c hasnt worked for 2 years it stopped working in the winter when i had oil in the engine harness
my mechanic who has das checked the freon which was empty but filled it up (but holds pressure)
he said the compressor wouldnt turn on like its an electrical problem. i have a new battery i tried the resych holding the defog and recirulating button no luck
any help would be great cause he just said to change the compressor

I would think that if your AC system was open for two years it would have the "black death" throughout. A first class AC shop might be able to fix it by first flushing the system with a large amount of flushing solvent. Shops that can do this are rare, and more often found in truck stop repair facilities.
Your problem might be the pressure sensor, or a clog anywhere in the system. Your mechanic may be correct about the compressor, but if the compressor failed and shot pieces through the system replacing it will result in early failure.
