Car will not start. Please help 03 C240
This afternoon I went to go run some errands. The car started up fine and then I drove it less than a couple of miles. When came back to the car, I tried starting it and the car just turns over and won't start. I tried to start it 3 times and then an hour later, I tried it again another 2 times but it still won't start.
Does anyone know what the issue could be? I don't think it's a bad battery since the car turns over.

Unfortunately I don't have a code reader with me at school but I looked at some different things that might have gone wrong and determined it was the fuel pump that went out (99% sure). I removed the rear seats in the back and when I tried to start the car, the fuel pump wasn't making any kind of sound.
Its got a lot of miles on it so its not unusual for it to go bad. Will be ordering a new fuel pump and see how it starts.
After what mileage should you supposed to replace the fuel filter. I don't think mine has ever been changed out, unless the dealer did while it was under warranty.

The CPS tells the ECU when the engine is at TDC so it knows when to fire the plugs.
Fuel pump &/or filter are other likely causes. Check fuel pressure at the Schrader valve on the fuel rail that connects the injectors. s/b > 3.7 bars or 55psi while cranking.
All ~ I'm travelling & will be home evening of 9th. Will answer outstanding PM's then.
