I may but my question is, if I use the Home Depot liner will it look super cheap in person? Also is it going to move in the wind where it's obvious that its not a solid lip?

the Home Depot liner will look super cheap even on a 99 civic lol. I would definitely not go with that, especially when the actual ez lip is available and pretty cheap too.

Lol ok well I will only do ez lip if I win because honestly I'm not going to spend a single dime for something that could come off within 5 minutes of the install. But thanks for the help.

A homemade lip/ diffuser would come off a lot easier then an ez lip and only about $10 would be saved? Just doesn't seem right on a Benz, especially newer ones

Maybe but I'm in the same situation as the guy in the linked post being young and wanting to experiment. Obviously I would just pull it off if it didn't look good since I stride to keep my car looking cleanly done. Lately though I want it for protection it seems like driveways get steeper and my bumper gets scratched.

So I finally got to installing it, gonna post some pictures later tonight. It's not too bad, just trying it out for now.

Thanks for the pics. Looks pretty discreet but good looking. Also seems like it definitely would protect the front bumper a little bit more.

I dont know about the rest of you but i kind of like it. It actually looks like its nicely done and it will protect the bumper from the nasty scratches.

Here's another picture of it. You can see the lip a bit more here, still in the same position as last time just the lighting is different.
